my flowerhorns some times almost float. not on there side or upside down but like a lil angled and at the surface almost float... what is it ? they dnt do it all the time so i dnt worry about it. a friend of mines flower horn on the other hand just floats there constantly and only moves to eat. he is almost just old and lazy... any other thoughts ?

I'm sure fish can be like people... some are lazy, plain and simple. A friend of mine has a discus that floats with it's face facing almost straight up. Looks ridiculous...

yeah, i have an aro that is a straight up ***** n then i have one who will swim up and bite my finger when it hangs over the water. some fish have attitudes as some are unsocial. i have a discus that wont swim with the others only durring feeding. finally after about 6 mnths and re decorating the tank 5 or more times he swims with the others. lol. my water is fine and he is healthy so im happy. just wonderign is any one has the same thing going on.
if he's eating and your seeing him poop, he's probably just a bit lazy. If you can, post a pic when he's doin it. Fish do have personalities that make them unique. Could be something he does or he could have aproblem. I wouldn't worry though, as long as it doesn't get more frequent.
