Hi guys,

I'm just wondering, i know FH breed at 4 inches+ but when is it best to separate the fry?

Do you give a 2 inch fish its own tank or put the fry in batches of 10 per 55G tank or give them their own 20 gallon tank?

if you use dividers how much room do you give the fish?

again this is for fry / young adults (2-4 inches)

Thanks!

Flowerhorn fry should be separate once their mature, meaning hatched. if fry do hatch separate the parent, BY THE WAY I'M A NEW MEMBER IN HERE.

welcome to mfk!!! i bought 20 fh fry at 1 inch for 20$ im down to 2 fh they all ate each other in a spacious 120 gallon tank so soon as you can put screens up for them or separate tanks

Iv seen FH fry on youtube and it seems that their all 1-2 inches / 6-8 weeks and still in the same tank with no divider.

that only work with a large amount of fry. As long as they don't have much room to make own territory then less killing.
