Flowerhorn has hith? Also some growth on the fin.

Can anyone tell me what is the growth on my Flowerhorn's fin? After a day or two of water changes it becomes less. Also I have noticed a small dimple above his nose. Can someone confirm if this is a symptom of Hith. I have been unable to do weekly water changes so I change 70% water every two weeks and now have started to see the consequences. My flowerhorn is quite active and eats well.

A power filter and 55 gallon. Why?

Because that 2 week period without a WC would be way different with lets say 2 canister filters compared to a single HOB.

My advice would be to start treating for HITH, doesnt seem too bad and you caught it early. HITH can be as simple as some dimples or as bad as deep holes, google pictures and compare but i would begin treatment.

I have already started of with metronidazole. Dissolved 2 400mg tablets with the help of acetone and added it to the tank. Anything else I should keep in mind? Also what about the growth on the fin?
