I have a Red Texas/Red Dragon flowerhorn cross and he has stopped eating completely for the last week or so. I normally feed him Spectrum pellets. I've done a water change, and tried different foods (live feeders, tubifex). He has no interest in anything. I assumed he was constipated. I dropped a couple peas in the tank and he had no interest in those, and yes I took off the skin on the peas. I'm really not sure what else to try. Is there any medications that I can add to the tank? And if so, would I need to have a quarantine tank or would I put able to just medicate him in my 55 gallon? He's the only fish in the tank. Any advice would be really appreciated. Thank you.

Have you seen any white poop?
If its not hex then most likely constipation. Might have to resort to force feeding but until then, I would say add epsom salt to the tank to aid the constipation.

Check out RD's sticky thread in the Flowerhorn section, a lot of helpful info.

I have seen some white/clear things floating around. Assuming it's poop but not 100% sure. How much epsom salt would I need and do I need a quarantine tank?
