My 4 year old flowerhorn started having violent seizures for the past 2 weeks. They occur many times a day. I have treated with general cure every 3 days for a week, completed 50% water changes and have monitored the levels daily. I'm heart broken. He's beating himself up so bad. I hold him to keep him to hurting himself when I'm home until he comes out of it in the water. When he starts to breath again I gently let him go and he returns to normal. Ammonia trace levels, ph 7.8, temp 80F. Nitrate and nitrite trace. You can see in the pics his wounds from hitting objects. My other fish, blood parrots, plecos, green sunfish are perfectly fine. They have been his tank mates for 2 years. I have 3 large filters, an airstone, and a large powerhead in the tank. Any help would be appreciated. I fear he may die soon. There is no one that treats fish in my area that I know of (central CA coast).

I’d try and up your water changes and try to stabilize the tank’s cycle. Unfortunately could be water issues, bacterial, viral causes or even tumor. If worsens and not able to eat then I’d say euthanize.
