I started treating my flowerhorn with epsom salt today
Dosage - 50 gram for my 30 gallon tank.(approx 3tblsp)

What else should i do ?
I donot prefer using antibiotics like metranidazole.
Right now i only have access to epsom salt.
Pls guide me how to continue the treatment

I just bought him yesterday and i noticed white feces and he is not eqting anything and colour is fadedIMG_2070.JPG IMG_2068.JPG

What makes you say that hex is the problem? Give him a few days to settle in, then see if he will eat and what his colors look like.

white stringy stool and loss of apetite and activity.
What you think should i do ?
I mean should i continue with epsom salt or i should wait.
He looked like a short body red dragon with yellow base

If you are worried, pick up some new life spectrum hex shield and feed that. I would also dose metronidazole and praziquantel. I personally have never had success with salt for anything. That's only my experience though, and many swear by it.

Will the salt even help treat hex?
I thought hex was one of those things you have to treat with medication.

I don't believe so. I'm any case, I'm not sure that this is a case of hex. The symptoms described can be from any number of nasties. I believe a good quarantine regimen should do the trick.
