My dumb flowerhorn hit his head again, and this time it looks worse. He's easily the stupidest fish I've ever kept, and it's starting to get really frustrating. There is a large white spot on his head, and I can see where his slime coat is coming off. I'm going to take some pictures of him later today. I'm not sure why he keeps hitting it, but it might be getting burned, he just puts his head up against the heater, and that's what he does pretty much all the time, but it also looks like some of his fins are injured, and he has a small white spot by one of his nostrils. Are all flowerhorns like this? What do you think I should do?

It's possible he could be burning himself.. I've had catfish do it before.. I'm pretty sure they sell heaters with plastic like covers on them so this won't happen..or you could try to move the heater or put it lower so he can touch his head to it..it's usually fish that lay in one spot all day that get burned though.. there is also a disease called hole in head.. I'm not sure of the proper name but cichlids get it
