FLOWERHORN/How to take care of Baby frys in egg size? PLease help

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Do NOTHING. Literally, feed as usual, and keep the lights off for less stress. That's it. Cichlids know what their doing when it comes to keeping their babies alive.

They will do everything they need to do, just watch. :)

wow do i need to reset the ph lvl?
Better not to even change PH unless the fish needs a big difference in PH then what your normal tap water is. For eggs, or fry it would only be worse.

:D

With cichlids it's easy. lol

You could take the eggs or fry and put them into a different tank, but 9/10 they grow even slower and more chance of die off. After a few batches it's fun to experiment with different ways, but let them raise their young once.

How long is the process?

From egg to wigglers:a few days. 2-3 tops.

wigglers to free-swimming:3-5

They can be free-swimming within a week, if temps. aren't low.

The pair will lay eggs again when they feel the fry they have now are able to be alone. They will then defend their eggs against their own fry so you would have to help and take the old fry out if the females decides to lay eggs again.
