My fh pair won't breed. The female it more agressive than him. The male is 8" female is 6". I'm guessing the females too big. Anyways I'm thinking of try to hybridized them with either a convict or a blood parrot. The male has no breeding experience and is not as agressive as the female. But the female has breeding experience but is more agressive. What should I use? Convict with either or find a female bp for the male.

What's the setup for your pair?

If it were.those 2 options, id choose blood parrot.

Size of pair doesn't matter. I've successfully bred female with male that was half her size. She became very aggressive after laying her eggs, so I took her out & he fertilized and raised frys solo.

It's a matter of the pair being compatible with each other, which doesn't always happen. I'd separate them for a while then try again. Good luck!

It's possible. Be sure water current is flowing from male side to female & you have enough openings for eggs to be fertilized. I haven't tried but I've seen where if male is much bigger than female, place clay dish on male's side & raise divider high enough for female to enter & escape but male cannot get through in case male becomes too aggressive.

If you're worried about either of them eating eggs, it can happen any time. Female is not always the best parent.

Try your method out. Good luck.
Currently I have them in the same tank but divided by a clear divider. Is this good. I'm seeing if I can breed them through it

I've got a flowerpot bottom on the far end of the tank no where near the female but I've got a small till slid under the divider so 1/2 on each side. The divider is egg crate.
