wow! he looks just like mine that i got from big al's (now allfish emporium... mine was a teeny tiny baby and all of them were mislabeled as convicts

yeah seems ZZ, just not a really typical one. For the most part you can call them whatever you want. And it appears to be a male
You better call the cops on yourself, you stole that fish. Feed it good quality food and do plenty of water changes, this fish will be a stunner.
