Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum. I recently bought a flowerhorn from my LFS dor $15. I was wondering what kind of flowerhorn do I have.

Thank you for the fast replies! Do you know how long it will take to develope a kok and how big it will get? It's about 3 inches right now. I tried looking online but they all only have a generic description of flowerhorn.
Does a water kok and a hard kok affect it's size very much? I heard that the soft kok change sizes depending on the FH's mood
Water kok and hard kok are 2 different things.

Your fish has a hard kok, and they do not grow much, if any.
As for Water kok's fluctuating in size, if you keep your water stable/keep it clean and provide them a good diet and large tank, you'll never have to worry about that.
Unless, you start breeding them, but thats a wholenother topic.
