Flowerhorn in 55

I would like to get a flowerhorn for my 55 gal. I was think of getting 2 juvies and dividing the tank I half and growing them up till 4-5" or so and then keeping the one with most potential.

I was curious on how big until I would have to move the one I keep in the 55 all alone. The tank is aproxx 2 ft high, 1ft deep and 4 ft long. I was thinking that aslong as its under 10" I would be fine because it can still turn around. But I'm no expert

The minimum for a normal bodied fh should be 75g IMO. They like to swim and a fish that can grow to a foot should not be in a foot deep tank past 7 or 8 inches.

Okay I will look around for any short bodies or kirins. They are harder to find here and I'm not into the whole AB thing and ordering and shipping fish because of cost and risk.

A 12" fish in a 12" tank? I disagree even if it gets to 10" it's going to be cramped.
