I got he or she about 2" long from Petsmart .. 4/12/12... Blind in one eye from going through the overflow and lying on his side on the filter pad for a week. (and lived) And he graduated from the 55G to the 220G. I still don't know the sex.... I'm thinking female because the hump is not growing much??? Anyway here is a short video...

Nice. I have one of those guys from Petsmart, at around 7" now living in my cichlid community 240gallon. Yours looks to be a total character just like mine. Mine is a freakin' porker!

Yhanks...Mine eats like a porker.... He's pretty aggressive and nosy. What ever I do in my tank he has to come check in on it... I had to remove the smaller 5 1/2" oscar that was getting beat up by him. He is in a 55G living the life now....
He leaves the others alone for the most part. I have a feeling when he gets bigger that I may have to remove some other fish. Time will tell.

Flowerhorns are best kept alone. Most will even beat up Asian aros bigger then them. And if they can't take it down they might go for the eyes.

+1 I had one who killed my favorite fish a green terror that was much larger than he was.

So far he is fine with the fish I have left in the tank. I did downsize a couple of fish he didn't like. They are in another tank.

I'm still not sure of the sex of this one... Anyone have a clue...
