So after some research and browsing MFK, ive come to the conclusion that my FH has some sort of IP. She has the white poop, two white patches on her aswell as the cramped tail fin. Im going to go into my lfs and ask what is used best for her but id like some tips from you guys aswell. I do have a 30 gal that im going to set up as a hospital tank to treat her. Just throw some suggestions out and help a brotha out. Thanks

Im using api general cure and epsom salt for my ebjd that had white poop. He didnt have any white patches tho, but the combo seems to be working. Hes looking better. Maybe try that

Good advice Becca. I would like to see a clear picture of the "white patches" to help ID or eliminate the need for any other meds or coures of action. Remember to do a large water change 50% before starting treatment. If you don't already have some pick up some Aquarium Salt while your at the LFS. Epsom salt you can get at the drug store.

Clean water and a regular maintance schedule goes a long way in the treatment and more importantly the prevention of illness. Also QT any new fish for about 3 weeks befor introducing them to you other fish. This way you can treat any potential issuse before it becomes too serious.

Heres some photos. Should i move her to tye hospital tank for treatment or leave in the tank? Photos are sideways idk why

Use API General cure 250 mg Metronidazole and 75 mg Praziquantel. You can get this at petsmart or your LFS mat carry it. This is a good combination of meds. IF you treat the fish in a hospital tank you could also add 1 tbls of epsom salt per 5 gallons of water to clean/flush the system and give the meds an advantage. Don't feed during treatment but you could soak some blood worms in epsom salt and feed that twice a day. Treat for 10 days as per instrustion on the mad package. Rember the hospital has to be set up with a cycled filter and no carbon.
