Hi guys, I have had my flowerhorn for 10 days, and I love it. It had been very active and aggressive until yesterday, something is wrong..
I usually put a mirror in the tank 2-3 times/week (~5 mins/each time) because some people told me it's good for kok and grooming.
Last night I put the mirror in again, he tried to attack his vision in the mirror, everything seems normal. And this time I left it a little bit longer than usual and then I went to the bathroom for 10 minutes and came back, I saw my fish was hiding in the corner of the tank. He was very stressed. I don't know what happened, I think he might hurt himself by attacking his vision in the mirror and got hurt somehow?
Today in the morning, he saw a long white stringy poop, so I treated it with epsom salt and now it's gone. But the fish isn't active and aggressive like the first time I got him, he doesn't come to me when he sees me, or when I try to feed him
. I think the reason is because when he tried to attack his vision and got hurt, he thought he lost the battle, and his territory?
Is there any solution for this, I'm new to flowerhorn things so I don't know what I should do. Advice anyone? Thank you.
