Hello everyone,
First and foremost before I start I would like to thank all of the people and all the their help thus far.

This is were I am at. My gut tells me, that I have over fed Reimahg (flowerhorn fish) in the weeks leading up to this event. My fish acts normal just doesn't want to eat anything.

Reimahg also has a hole on his drivers side (US) this hole has existed for most of his life (fish is 12-14months old) This hole has improved through the use of salts and improving water quality. However the hole can still be seen.

Two things are different in my fishes appearance from the beginning of this issue. One I can explain, the other leads to a question. His horn/kok is beginning to get bumpy, I believe this is from a lack of food. In the past I have been bitten from Reimahg and I bled a lot, he has always had teeth. However right now i am seeing about 5 large teeth seemingly coming in on the bottom, and two very large teeth on the top. They have never been more noticable. Leading to my question do fish teeth? - Process of teeth breaking gum line

Possibly see his kok is bumpy - http://imgur.com/wrURY2Mhttp://imgur.com/wrURY2M

Hole is at about 2 O'clock behind his eye - http://i.imgur.com/Y3iL7QX.jpg

You can see his teeth here (zoom in) - http://i.imgur.com/Lp2sUwa.jpg

I am feeding him these - http://i.imgur.com/fNnyZSI.jpg

Yesterday he ate about 7...which is the best day so far. I take 3 at a time and drop them infront of him and leave the room. I come back 10 mins later and clean up what he didnt go for. I also noticed this morning that he isnt really chewing them he is sucking on them. This is not a good life for my fish, and I am frustrated with myself for not being able to give him a suitable life

I need to feel as tho I have a plan, and currently feel like my plan of feeding him here and there is not a plan he deserves. If you were in my shoes what would you do?

Well first off calm down a bit, thing can easily be fixed!!!

The "hole" in the head can be treated with Melafix, when using Melafix remember to remove any carbon from the filters and follow the directions on the bottle so you don't risk overdosing. Now what appears to be a "bumpy" kok, is actually the form of pearls on the head and are naturally caused by natural growth. The teeth are fine, my Pearl Kamfa Flowerhorn has more teeth on the bottom then the top of his mouth, and that food is fine to give him. I give my flowerhorn the exact same Hikari Cichlid Gold pellets, but I also give mine a varied diet with a mixture of brine shrimp/bloodworms, and Omega One flake food.

I would suggest not feeding your flowerhorn for a couple of days, this seems cruel to starve him for a couple of days, but it works. When you're ready to start feeding him again try using some brine shrimp to stimulate his appetite. You should set up a feeding schedule for him, here's what I got...

Mon-Fri - 11am feeding of Hikari gold pellets & Omega One flakes
Sat - 11am Mix of brine shrimp/bloodworms
Sun - 50% Water change w/ no feeding day
