Flowerhorn need help

I just registered here in monsterfishkeepers.com , I need help. My 6 yrs old flowerhorn is ill, my fish name is Flowie. 3 days ago his right eye is cloudy. I went to the vet but just gave me Aquadene General Aid meds and change the water. This morning Flowie could not swim and hardly breathing. I asked another vet and told me to give antibiotic, change 25% water. But Flowie still does not move till now. Pls tell me what to do?

I don't think there is much you can do at this stage, just make it smooth for him with Clove oil, 6 years is about average with flowerhorns nowdays.

I would tag few people who might be helpful kno4te RD.

Not moving as in dead? No gill movement? If it’s still life in it then I’d consider some clove oil at this point.

Sounds like you took great care of this fish. Bad genetics and the lack of proper care in the flowerhorn community many barely make it past 2 years.

I put drops of Clove oil last night and this morning I saw Flowie passed away. I can't believe that it is painful too. I used to play and look at my fish everyday for the last 6 yrs. What I can see now is an empty 40 gallon tank. Thank you all.

Sorry for your loss. Seems like he lived a good life of 6 years.
