Ok, so here goes...

I have had a FH for about 3 months now. He is about 4 inches, just starting to form a nice hump. He was eating great... Dinaichi pellets and the occasional guppy/earthworm ( breeding in respective tubs/tanks in my house so I know they're healthy ). Anyways, this week he almost stopped eating entirely. He'll play with the food a bit, spit it out, etc., but then just ignores it.

Tank Params:
55 gal, bare bottom.
Ac110 and sponge filter #5 ( plenty of filtration :D )
50% WC once a week ( Sunday ) and 10% Tuesday and Thursday, mostly to vaccuum the poop from the bottom.

Water Params:
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate <15
PH 7.7-8 (a little high)

So, along with not eating, his poop looks a little white? Not really stringy, just kinda clearish/white. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Sound like a hexa, i got hit the same problem before, but i passed successfully.

do you have a hospital tank? like 5gals or 10gals? move it there temporarily. if not you treat him there in your 50gals but you need a lot more of savings to buy the meds.

then treat him with metronidazole and Mebendazole, 1pc 500mg metro & 1pc 500mg meben per 10gals, do 50% WC every other day... repeat the metro on every WC at the same time put a heater on your tank to stabilize the temperature.
