FLOWERHORN NOT EATING

hey guys ive got a problem with my fh
its been 3 weeks since i got this guy and in the beginning he was eating a few pellets
now i tried giving him pellets but he isnt eating them
i put in some feeder gold and he ripped them apart but didnt eat them
i tried bloodworms but he spits them out immedietly
what do i do....any suggestions?

Man, it may be a Hexamita attack. Its a kind of protozoan that attack either internally or externally. This is a case of internal attack.
Use Metronidazole Tablets (Brands- Flagyl or Metrogyl) 400mg per 10 gallon. Dissolve the crushed tablets in a bowl of warm water and then add solution directly to the tank water. Remove filter media if any. Total 3 doses on Day 1, 3, 5 with 50% WC on Day 2,4. In last two doses, only add the medicine proportionate to water being displaced. This method works great for the fish.

the thing is he doesnt look sick at all
in fact he is looking a lot more healthier than when i got him and is a lot more active
besides, its so hot at this point of time in india that i think raising the temp night actually harm him than do him good !

I would suggest u do 30% water changes every 3 days and add 1 teaspoon salt per 5 gallon waters ( just to relax him ) Try feeding him market prawns..

Goldfish are not the best food since they have a lot of fat....

p.S is his poop stringy and white?
