Hello everyone. ..I am having an issue with my flowerhorn. For a few weeks now...His appetite has dwindled...a couple weeks ago he was not eating at all...His poop was not white but creamy color...I fed him very little for about a week and repeatedly tried to get him to eat a pea...he may have eaten some...but for about ten days now his appetite is not what I expected and am still concerned...he has since pooped several times and his poop looks good...brown and not really stringy...he will eat blood worms sometimes will eat some brine shrimp...and doesn't really care for pellets...he just ate one of the three I just put in...His water conditions are great...0 ammonia, 0 nitrite...and a very slight amount of nitrate...he is in a 55 gallon with ample filtration. ..His water is at 84.2....and seems happy...no belly swelling no color loss...maybe a shrinking horn...debatable

Here is a video of him...and my other tanks

There could be something with your water like nitrates. Or hex. I had a spike in my tank, I treated the water with API General cure, did 65% water change, added new carbon filters, then added some tetra safe start to help bring down nitrates and ammonia. After about a week he's eating perfectly fine now. Hope this helps!

Any reason your water temp is so high?

To help with constipation. .
And I have read multiple times that they prefer low to mid 80s

I have always kept all my tropicals (including a FH) in the 75-78 range without issues ( as far as I know). Not saying you're doing it wrong or anything, but just figured this is something you may want to know that can save you $ in terms of electrical usage.
