FLOWERHORN OR TRIMAC?

Depends on what type of flowerhorn? I would not want some low grade junk hybrid like are around most of the places.

On the other hand, I have bred GFlowerhorns..........The flowerhorn is popular with lots of first time hobbyist who have found out about the "tankBUSters........"The see an adult Fowerhorn at the store swimming back and forth like a LION.............Then they check the price of the fish and see it is worth $300!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!They grab a bunch of 1 inch juveniles and hope for a breeding pair, and get a couple breding..........This right here is the normal scenerio.........The only thing about "Flowerhorn," is that you have to be sure that the fish you are purchasing is GRADE A..GRADE A stands for the quality of fish.........Quality is judged by the thick shape of the body, the bright color placement, and in the case of the male, the size of the "KOK...."KOK is the bump on the head formed to attract mates and to fight rival males..............There are some superstitiuos ways of stimulating the KOK to get big...........One way is to place a mirror next to the tank..This way the fish will see its own reflection, thinking it is a rival.........The fish will fight its own image.........This"fighting" is the positive stimulus that creates adrenaline.....................

I have had people tell me that he is a Trimac. I even made a thread to get MFK'ers opinion on it a few months ago.
He is full of character and personality, but a super bully. He is in a 90 alone.

Correction, I guess only one person said he was a trimac.....and then tried to say that they were only joking.
Depends on the individual fish. I am not biased when it comes to hybrids. I have seen amazing looking trimacs and flowerhorn and garbage looking ones.
So if I walked into a store and the owner was like "You can buy this flowerhorn or this trimac." My choice would be based on size/quality/gender/personality.
