Hi guys,

I am not too much into man-made hybrids, but I got hold of this this little 3-3.5 inch Flower-horn a couple of months back.

He is fed Hikari Cichlid Bio Gold+ and occasional blood-worms.

He is pretty fun to play with, follows my finger up and down the tank..

This was IDed as a "Red Dragon" by an expert(Jib) on another forum.

I was wondering what MFK thinks about this little guy.

Also can you guess how much this cost me? (I am based in Bombay, India.)

Thanks,
Sid

Looks like a low grade ZZ red dragon. Could even be a girlie !

IMO, doesn't matter what "quality" they are if they are pets. The best fish I own (and have ever owned) is a low grade male ZZ red dragon. He is just such an awesome character. I have owned other better "quality" flowerhorns, but have sold all the others as they didn't appeal to me character-wise so much.

Thanks guys. I will change the substrate to something darker..

The (slightly?) interesting part is that I got this fish at 2 Rupees (~5 US Cents). My intention was to use this little guy to keep one of my tank cycled.
