Heyy guyz m planning of setting up a fh planted tank so I needed some help for that . So here are. Some of doubts...1) can a fh be kept sucessfully with plants if yes then with which plants ? 2)my substrate will be of 2-3 mm of size is it good enough coz I know that fh are active diggers so vil dey mess things up? 3) I'm planning of putting some more fish with fh so need some ideas for that ? 4)what other precautions should I take ..?
I know it's a crazy idea but that's what this hobby all about .and last thing here are my tanks dimension 5*2*2 that is about 150 gallons. Thx in advance :D:D:o:o:)

first of all as u know u can't keep fhs in planted aquaria as they will mess everything up lol... two answers at a time :D but still if u wish to have one,u can try putting gravel in some mini terracotta pots and plant plants in them, maybe they may survive with the beast.some plants like amazon sword are considered very rough and tough so u can try them out and if u are going to put some more fishes i would suggest no but still if u like to u can put a few red devils or a breeding pair of convicts but be super careful as the whole cycle can get reversed and ur breeding cons can kill the flowerhorn (precaution) ;).

and if u really need a planted tank u can try floating plant like water hyacinth (best, easily available as it is a weed and being weed very much hardy)

Thx man .....il research some more then vil come to an conclusion about making it or not ....

no plant will survive....period. never had a flowerhorn that didn't tear plants apart and watch them get stuck to the filter.
