Hey guys, I have a small flower horn, about 4 inch’s. I’ve noticed that since purchase about 3 months ago he’s got a small defect on his gill.

From the front view it’s not curling out, it’s just a little raised.

It’s not getting any worse or better. Is this something I should be worried about?

Don’t look like much. The gill moves normally? Could be early signs of full curl. If it is then preventing it from getting worse is essential. Keep clean water and make sure it’s not kept in a cramped tank.

He’s in a 240 litre with a fluval fx4 on his own. I do 70% water change a week. The gill moves normally, it likes its creased a little.

I see. Would just watch.
