Flowerhorn Progress Thread.

Hello

I'm making this thread to fellow the progress of my Flowerhorn & to see what others think of him. Pretty sure its a male but if somebody more knowledgeable can confirm this. Can anybody what tell me what type of kok he may have water, semi-water or hard. Hes about 2-2.5 inches right now.


I picked up the Flowerhorn at petco for $4 on 1-30-19.



Day After I got him on 1-31-19



I removed the black sand after a couple people suggested it will help light him up. Here is before and during I removed the sand. It instantly made a huge difference. 2-20-19/2-21-19

I'm feeding him a combo of Hikari Blood Red Parrot+ & Omega One Super Color Cichlid Pellets. FD Bloodworms & Krill as treats a couple times a week.

Good move taking out the dark gravel. It's probably a male but as this fish ages that will help tell gender more definitively. I'm thinking he will probably have a hard kok. Water kok is very unlikely.
