I am planning to have my own flowerhorn pair. The friend of my father is a breeder of different kind of fishes. My father said that his friend will give me a malawi eye biter the question is do you think its ok to have this kind of pair and what kind of fish will it breed? just curious.

FH originate in CA Cichlids, not Malawis. You can cross that Malawi, if you want, with what you want but it will not be a FH.
