My flowerhorn appears to be shedding? He is approx 6-8inches, full color when the lights are on, but his colors fade in the morning then come back during the day and with light. His scales are fine, but around the head, face and belly it looks like flakes of small skin are coming off. He has a veracious appetite [good], his colors are vibrant [when the lights are on], and he still has personality, but I cant understand the shedding and am worried? Has anyone seen this before? I am pretty sure this isnt ich, Ive seen that before in other tanks and doesnt appear to be the same. The water parameters are all at 0, PH is a little low @ 6ish; temp is between 82-86.photo 5.JPG photo 4.JPG photo 3.JPG photo 2.JPG photo 1.JPG

looks like a fungal disease. I have never had to deal with one but I would start with water changes and hopefully someone else will chime in with best medication to use.

I have heard good things about melafix and primafix. I think Primafix is the one for fungal diseases.

I've used one of those two to treat fungus also.
Try to keep the temperature in the tank down too. Fungus loves high heat.

how low is ok for a flowerhorn? Ive herd mixed review and I know he gets lethargic when its cold

All tropical fish get lethargic when they're in cold water. As long as the water isn't 60 degrees you'll be fine.
