Hello everyone. Reimahg is my flowerhorns name on Sunday I woke up to him floating upside down...I started dosing him with metro+ and epsom salt...I have done water changes daily and am noticing improvements. ..However he still cannot swim, has not eaten and not pooped since Saturday( 6 days ago) here is a short video of him...There is a divider sandwiching him on the glass so he doesn't flip around

Last night I mushed up some peas and put them in the end of a hose...I attached the hose to a small syringe...then filled with tank water...I placed the hose in the tank infront of him...put the hose in his mouth and gently pushed the plunger...forcing peas and some water into his mouth...This didn't look as invasive for him as one might think...In fact appeared to have eaten some. ..

Question is: I see some meds for swim bladder disease at my LFS should/could I do a similar thing with this pellet/med at the store?

Or should I just let him be?

He'll be fine not eating for at least a couple of weeks anyway, but it sounds like you're doing the right thing. Best of luck with his recovery
