I have a flowerhorn in a 75 gallon with a rope fish and a musk turtle. According to aqadvisor.com I can add a single salvini cichlid to my tank. Will this work? If so I am going to get one as soon as I can as I would love to add one more fish to this tank. If not what can I add?

***75 Gallon*** 1 Flowerhorn, 1 African Rope Fish and 1 Musk Turtle, ***60 Gallon*** 2 Angelfish, 1 Knight Goby, 1 Rainbow Goby, 1 Blue Gourami, 1 Glo Fish,1 Columbian Spotted Pleco and 4 Giant Danios ***

I don't have as much experience as a lot of people on this forum but I have raised a couple of fh in my 75 g. The only fish that has lived with one has been my featherfin catfish. Any other cichlid they will attack relentlessly until I remove it from the tank. I have found flowerhorns to be extremely aggressive even at a small size. That's just my experience.

Oh oh. So are feather fin catfish good bottom feeders? I was also considering a synodontis catfish.

Flowerhorns tend to be really aggressive, especially towards other cichlids. I don't think it's wise to keep one with tankmates in a 4' tank. It might be ok as a juvenile, but watch out later.

Mine won't tolerate anything. I have a hard time putting my hand in there to clean --constantly attacks me.

I can definitely believe that my 3 inch flowerhorn is not scared of my hands at all. He will come up to inspect it and he will even take food from out of my hand. He is so brave

The only thing that I have been able to keep long term is Cory cats but they even need somewhere to hide. I started off with 7 Cory cats and because of my flower horn I'm down to 3. The Thai silk is now in a 75 by himself but he is also about 10" and a year old now. He has bitten me every chance he gets and will leap out of the tank to bite me. Yours will grow and more than likely kill everything else you have with it even the turtle. Good luck
