Hi All, my flowerhorn has been swimming upside down for almost a week. I tried feeding it green peas but it doesn't eat. I reduced the water level to just above him to reduce the stress. I tried giving him one time epsom salt bath it seems to be worse, it remain upside down for very long time. It still eats if I feed him and poop..The water parameters are ok. Help!! What can I do?TIA

I’d reduce the water level even lower to get the fish to lay upright. Keep dosing the Epsom salt at 3 tbsp per 5g to the main tank. Add some kanamycin and wait it out. Give it time. Hope it corrects.

A AlexSandy , how long has your tank been set up and what are your test results? Are you using test strips or the liquid reagent testers?

How often do you change the tank water and are you using a dechlorinator product to remove chlorine or bind chloramine depending on your source (tap) water?

Should I actually used kanamycin or metronidazole?

I have the fish in the same tank for months. I tested the PH value using digital PH meter. I change water on a weekly basis. I'm using filtered water and not tap water.
