So I have a 5 inch fh in a 200gal tank he's been a loner in the tank since he was 1inch long so what would be a good tank mate with him that can defend itself...

Well I don't wana get rid of the poor fish iv had him since he was little can't do that lol I just want more fish In there

Blood parrots and bichirs of similar size will work as well. I have two in my 90g with my flowerhorn and they get along fine.

I'll prolly try a bichir... How much is a 5incher?

When i had mine.

I had him with 2 texas, a jag, and an rtc.

Then i sold the texas and rtc. and was left with the jag and horn.

They were fine together... But as was stated before use a divider...or take the flowerhorn out and rearrange the decorations of the tank then add the new fish and then the flwerhorn a little after. So they re-establush territory.

So all in all any similarly aggressive cichlid should work...But keep a close eye you never know with cichlids.
