Flowerhorn tankmate

I am going to keep flowerhorns like the old days. But i am going to start at 1-2 inches juveniles, do u guys think an 1.5 inch flowerhorn will work with an 1.5 inch blue jack dempsey? what other tankmates can go with them? Green terror and red devil?

Sometimes they work well together and sometimes not.Usually small they are ok and it helps to crowd the tank.If its just a couple fish somebody will die for sure.

You have a good shot with the red devils and flowerhorns, dempsey.....maybe depending on its disposition?

the only thing that i am afraid of is that flowerhorn will fight to death though sometimes it is not as strong as other cichlids.

I have a flowerhorn, texas, midas, green terror, jack dempsey, frontosa, and a few plecos. I got them all around the 1''-2'' size, and the flowerhorn is about 12'' now and i have not lost any fish.... yet anyway

are you meaning Electric Blue Dempsey, if so than he needs his own tank, these fish are very fragile and the other cichlids especiallly a FH will kill it off pretty quick.
