Will I be able to keep a male and female flowerhorn together or would I have to eventually split them up.

What are their sizes, which one is staying in its tank and has either bred before? I think it is best to introduce with a divider first and then slowly introduce them for longer periods, but even then you never know. Safest option is with a divider whenever you arent around.

They are almost 4inches. And they are both red dragons. I have just got into flowerhorns so I do not know much but lately I have noticed that the females tube is sticking out pretty good and she has gotten alot darker. I have them in my 125 with a divider already in it. On the other side of the divider I have a 4 and 1/2 inch kamfa male which I got from thailand. I have another 75 gallon tank that I can put one of the red dragons in if need be.

Oh well you are good to go. You can raise the divider and see how the get along.

If I raise the divider the two males would probably go at it though. My Kamfa male and my Red Dragon female try to go at it through the divider.
