I noticed that my flowerhorn has changed in both behaviour and appearence today. He usually is very active and responding when I walk by and likes to swim after my fingers just to bite me. But today he just stays in one of the corners of the aquarium doing nothing.
On his kok and the rest of the body there is a thin thin layer of almost transparent white that hangs on very loose and starts coming off as soon as he moves around a little. When he poops it has the normal shape, but the surface of the poop looks kinda white but you can almost see the brown-ish color underneath.
I first thought that my flowerhorn had white spot disease, but the symptoms doesn't quite resemple the ones that I read about, but I'm not entirely sure.
I've posted some pictures here also. The white spots that is seen on the pictures is not on the fish, but on the aquarium glass. I hope you can see the things that I marked with red circles.
Can anyone help me? I'm very nervous for him.

I am not sure about the issue, RD. RD. or kno4te kno4te might be able to assess it better.

From the the sticky about flowerhorn infosheet

It might be hex, copied the following contents from there

Hexamita: Hexamita is caused by intestinal flagellated protozoa and attacks the digestive system and the lower intestines of infected fish. Symptoms of Hexamita include white stringy feces and loss of appetite. For treatment of Hexamita read this http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?339362-Treating-Hexamita-aka-Spironucleus

I’m no expert and the only thing I can really comment on is the second pic looks like excessive slime coat. Slime coat is one part of their immune system that keeps parasites and bacteria’s out. I believe fish shed their slime coat when irritated or something is wrong in the water. I’m sorry I can’t help any more than that.

I do notice it looks like there was a problem with his kok that looks like it’s healing up? We’re you treating with medication? Some medications can cause fish to shed their slime coat as well.

Pics do show some slime coat. The poop looks ok but due to low lighting doesn’t have clear appearance. Atleast to me.

Please post ur water parameters. Would add a little salt 1 tsp per g at this time.
