Hey guys i have searched the internet and have come up with nothing as to why my male FH is so bloated all the time. He is about 5months old and I have treated for internal parasites, internal bacterial and external bacteria. I have added epsom salt to both the water and food. He is very active, eats well, swims around with the female in the tank and all water is good. weekly water changes of 50%. I fed him peas thinking it was constipation but he pooped out a pea and was still bloated after. I recently slightly put pressure on the stomach to see if it was a blockage i could undo but to no avail. I have changed his food also. I have no idea what it is but he is ver big in the stomach. During 1 treatment the stomach went to normal size but his kok deflated so after a quick water change the next day his kok was normal and the swelling in the tummy was back. Any help would really be appreciated as i dont want him to die.

Ya sorry I was searching for my cable and forgot I coupled through my fone.. sky here he is.

try not feeding and see if it goes down?

Could be maybe due to overfeeding?

If pellets, maybe try to pre soak it first?

I stopped feeding for 3 days with no difference at all. Right now I'm feeding very small chiclid pellets. I soaked them in Epsom salt for the last 3 days with no difference. I'm worried because when he gets big it's like he's gonna pop but he seems perfect in every way. We cut back on feeding him. Went with 3 chiclid sticks a day for 1 week between him and the female with no difference. Poop is brown in colour.. doesn't seem to poop alot but were not feeding him alot. The female in the tank with him is perfect condition. I haven't been able to find an answer in so long I really don't know what else I can do

Has he been dewormed? Abdominal swelling can sometimes be caused by tapeworms.

The meds he was on for internal parasites also does tapeworms.. I haven't strictly de wormed him but never seen tapeworms or even white poop.

Could be a structural defect in the fish since you’ve treated with meds. If it’s acting normal and poop is color of expected food. Then would just monitor. Give it a break b/w foods to allow for clearance of stool.
