just last night i moved my male flowerhorn from his 75 g tank to my 225g community tank, while i was expecting him to bully the other fish it was quite the opposite, my male green terror (who is smaller in comparison to the flowerhorn) wouldnt leave him alone, i pulled the flowerhorn but plan to reintroduce him once i can provide some places for him to hide. anyone else had any experience mixing the gt's with flowerhorns?

Your flowerhorn was just new to the tank. Give it time to adjust and get settled and he'll probably punk the GT. As always keep a close eye.

yup. i have 1 small male gold saum who has nothing to lose since he lost his mate, he's gone skinny due to stress but started to put on a bit of weigh of lately. his tank mates are 1 FH 5x his size and festaes 2x his size, saw him jaw locking with 1 of the festae twice his size and believe it or not he won:headbang2.. the only thing he won't bother is the firemouth, which is smaller than him..
hard to believe... but it's real

yah i figured i had to give it time, i have to use the 75 g hes in now as a grow out tank for my black arowana but i cant bring myself to part with either the gt or the flowerhorn.

do a large water change in the big tank and rearrange everything, then introduce the FH and GT to the new set up at the same time.

thats a good idea, now that i think about ive heard that before, thanks!

I agree, give the FH a week and he will be collecting the lunch money from all the other fish...:headbang2
