I have a flowerhorn in a 60gal divided tank with
Two other fry fh that I'm trying to grow out.
And a 5" pleco

I have two filters.
Sponge filter
& a corner filter w/bio &carbon
And a starfish stone thing for air bubbles.

It's a cycled tank.
I had Koi fish, gold fish& many other fish prior to the fh.

So my question is...how often should I do water changes.
It's been about a week now and the water is still crystal clear.
I added peat moss to try to lower ph.
Everything else is good.
Temp is at 84-86
Ph 8

With your filtration and situation I would say 20%-25% twice a week I have a 60 gal with only one FH with one aquaclear 110 and I change 25% every Friday and I also gravel vac once or twice weekly I like to keep the water clen just because it's clear dosent mean its clean

Yeah all the poop settles on the bottom.
I usually vacuum it once a week.

I actually have the same filter
And the other one that I have is rated for a 70gal.

The fry are about 1.5"
The big fh is 3.5"
Pleco 4-5"

By the way...
The corner filter and sponge filter are not the two main filters that I'm talking about.
I have those and two that hang on the tank

I would do I once a week 25-30% water change and once a month 50% water change personally I do 15 gallon weekly and 30 gallon monthly on my 55s and 5 gallon weekly 10 gallon monthly on a 20 gallon segregated tank you can say its too much or to little but me and my fish are happy with it my thai silk is always nosing around my hand and the gravel vac during his

I do 90% water changes weekly with gravel vacs, keeps nitrates at around 15ppm with the way I feed.
