Flowerhorn with popeye - need some help!

Was hoping I could get some expert advise. Everything I've read online said to use Epsom and do large scale water changes to help clear up Popeye. It's been going on for a couple days now and seems to be getting worse before it gets better. Any advise?? Got the fish on Saturday and noticed it's eye starting to protrude Sunday morning. I'd assume it happen from sitting in a bucket for 6-7 hours before it made it's way into my tank? Had an air pump and stone in the bucket too, water wasn't filthy

Would add some salt 1 tsp per gallon and add some maracyn2. Keep the water super clean.

Thank you. I've been doing 50% water changes daily and I've been using Epsom salt (read by Betta keepers that it works for Popeye)

Erythromycin. If it doesn't work, an antibiotic for Gram negative bacteria.
