I pick this guy up at Mississauga Aquarium about 14 days ago he's eating and everything's fine otherwise .
I've had the tank setup for about 2 months I have to hang on back filters installed once an AquaClear 200 and the other is an AquaClear 50 the temperatures around 30 degrees my pH level surround 7.2 .
I've been feeding them I Kiko head up well as Hikari cichlid bio gold once a week he gets blood worms I've discovered reading on the forums here that it's probably too much protein in his diet I'm going to switch to spatula and reduce the feedings over the next two days and monitor him closely to see if it recedes.
if not i will try Epsom salt he is in 35 gallon all to himself its defiantly his anus sticking out i have seen his weenie hole.
i will take a pick tomorrow as ive already had in in a net today to check it and hes pissed i have some tetra parasite guard ick gaurd and a few other medication.
ive just never used them his filter was cycled on my 125gallon cichlids tank and the water parameters are perfect i have no way to check for nitrates but i know from experience water is in good shape. thanks for the help he is acting normal to me follows me around when im near eats right as soon a s i tong it in big bump on his head started his name is blueberry hes my first flowerhonrn and i love him very much so any suggestion on care would rock thank you for your knowledge i paid 40 bux for him in Toronto.
