Hi, i'm getting a flowerhorn and was wondering if I could add one teacup stingray (they are 10-14 inch in diameter) will they both be happy or will they fight?
small in comparison to other raysBut teacup stingray stays small
because they used to be saltwater rays that slowly adapted to being fully freshwater but with the osmoregulatory system that has evolved to combat this and survive life in completely freshwater. They have repressed rectal glands, a tool for managing salts in osmosis, but this also means they can not retrain urea and ammonia like most Saltwater fishWhy do stingrays need lots of filtration?
