Hi, i'm getting a flowerhorn and was wondering if I could add one teacup stingray (they are 10-14 inch in diameter) will they both be happy or will they fight?

No, the stingray will need atleast a 180 gallon and lots of filtration and water changes. If you have a larger tank, it might work, but It all depends on the Flowerhorn individual personality.

Teacup stingray is a term for vendors to get people to buy a stingray, most of the “teacups” sold are motoros that will get around 3 feet. Even the smallest stingrays need atleast a 2 foot width tank.

Why do stingrays need lots of filtration?
because they used to be saltwater rays that slowly adapted to being fully freshwater but with the osmoregulatory system that has evolved to combat this and survive life in completely freshwater. They have repressed rectal glands, a tool for managing salts in osmosis, but this also means they can not retrain urea and ammonia like most Saltwater fish
