Flowerhorn work in a 300 with mates or not?

I really want to add one to my 300 I'm getting ready to set up. It'd be in with a red devil and jag.... I'm thinking no but thought I'd ask if anyone had any luck keeping them with other aggressive cichlids. They're all small right now too 2-4".

I have had a pair in my 600 gallon with all sorts of tank mates with no problems. Bass. Stingray. Jack Dempsey. Oscar. Jags. Just about anything. Giving everyone space is key

Ok cool I'll proceed cautiously give plenty of hiding spots interrupted sight lines and if it looks like they're fighting too bad I'll separate them into other tanks.

I think your doing it right by putting them in there small, but it certaintly all depends on the attitude of the FH. Like mentioned space and plenty of similar aggressive tankmates will help
