what i usually do is i keep the eggs with the parents until they hatch and observe how they do with the eggs and if the male starts getting aggressive just seperate them with a divider and keep the female with the eggs till they hatch, but if u wanna play on the safe side ive removed the rock they bred on before and placed it in a 10gal with a power head aimed at the eggs and a air stone next to the power head, then when the fry were swimming i put a sponge filter in so the fry didnt get sucked up by the power head. I usually remove the fry after a week or 2 too a larger tank to grow out in or i give them away. I hope this helps you, and good luck!

congrats.. after 100 tries. wow that's a lot

i usually wait like a day after being layed then i move them i used a platic container to move them so the eggs never touched air but ive had con eggs out of water for no joke 15minutes before i realized they were eggs and they all hatched so ur choice, and congrats btw post some pics plz lol

oh i forgot to mention i used sand in my 10gal idk if it would make a difference but i know the powerhead helped them hatch fast and it cleared a spot in the sand for the wigglers to stay i also had plants in it but those were just for looks

Depends with every fish my first time breeding jaguar cichlids took a 1hour and thats bc they were really aggresive toward each other during it, they now do it usually between 15 and 30minutes, (yes i time how long it takes to breed my fishLOL) and when i had my red devil breed with my female flower horn it took 15minutes, in my opinion i think every fish is different just like every batch of babies will be different, some may have better quality fry than others. but since her tube is dropped it will be soon i can assure you that, unless she is becoming bloated but i doubt that, if she were bloated she would be floating at the top of the tank. my female jags tube has been dropped for 3 days now and she is finally getting ready to lay them she use to just be swiming around while the male cleaned the rock. Of course the 2 pairs are 2 different species but the basic breeding pricple is the same. and btw i just warning you now that if this batch doesnt hatch the first time dont think one of your fish is unfertile, wait for them to spawn at least 3more times, i thought the same thing when i bred my red devil and fh but by the 3rd time i had fry which completly surprised me, i never usually raise the fry tho i give them away or i feed them to my grow outs . I wish you the best of luck!
