Flowerhorn x Texas???

are they going to breed?
here are my reasons why im wondering
1) the female flowerhorns tube, i think its called an oviduct, is out
2) she and the texas are by each others side alot now
3) shes digging a hole in the substrate
4) the flowerhorn has become REAL aggressive with the jag in the tank with them

She sounds like she wants to spawn and shes defending her nest....if you want this spawn to occur,then remove the other fish if you can.If you leave them in the tank there might be casualties.

thats a problem, i dont got room to take the jag to another tank...but the jag is a good 2-3 inches bigger than the flowerhorn and tex so i think the jag will be ok

i've seen flowerhorn spawn at like 3"...
texas spawn at that size too

Looks like it'll happen Repair had a FH and TX spawn and I (as well as some other members) got some of the young fish.

They end up looking pretty cool.
