The other day I posted a description of my mystery cichlid and I found out it is a Flowerhorn. I guess the reason I had a hard time was that it is a hybrid fish. The cool thing is that I bought it at Walmart for 5 bucks from a tank of random cichlids. It is getting huge already and it's KOK is developing nicely. He is absoluty GORGEOUS !!! I got lucky that he is a keeper as I've seen others less beautiful go for alot more money. I'm heading back to Wallyworld today to see what they have now. I've raised nice fh from walmart. Just depends who sends them what because they only have like 10 different types of fish so you're either buying it as a mixed african, firemouth, or red devil.
Thats funny you say that, i was at walmart today trying to find a small tank for my soon to come fry and i was looking in the tanks and they had a few livingstonii in there, i was shocked they had that fish at walmart. so i can see how your could have ended up getting that flowerhorn.
