I have a 75 gallon tank that is empty and I am considering putting in a really good looking Flowerhorn, first I want to get some questions answered. Do Flowerhorns like current? I have a wave maker that's specified for tanks up to 90 gallons, is that to strong and do you guys ever turn yours off at night? Are Flowerhorns dirty? I'm talking Oscar fish dirty. And really just any specific info you experts have on this fish would be great.

i have mine in a 90 gallon with my oscar and hes definitely not as messy as the oscar. My oscar messes up everything. And i never turn my powerhead off. A 75 is probably the minimum id put one of them in. Im actually lookin to get a 135 or bigger soon. Theyre super active and need space.

A little current is great for increasing oxygen levels but too much will wear out your fish. I like to give my fish as much current as they can comfortably live in. Just make sure there is an area with less current where they can rest.

Many Flowerhorn owners do not exercise there fish enough, having a moderate current ensures they stay strong and healthy.

Very nice looking Red Dragon. What happened to his fins? He looks torn up. If his fins are naturally like that then I don't think he's that good. It is rare but some flower horn have fins that look mangled but thats how they naturally are. Just my opinion but I think it looks terrible.
