Looks like a young red dragon/Zz, I’m guessing female because I’m not seeing any kok growth at all. That loach won’t last very long either also you might be safe if it’s female but keep an eye on the rocks to make sure she don’t hurt herself on them somehow.
I was guessing based on the color that he was maybe 2.5” which by then should show a bit of kok growth but if only 1” it’s possible it’s a male. If it is male then that loach and those rocks aren’t gonna last long in that tankThe shopkeeper told me that it’s a male flowerhorn .. and it’s very small in size I don’t know how its in those images .. but its 1.5 inches
I’d lean towards male.Looks like a young red dragon/Zz, I’m guessing female because I’m not seeing any kok growth at all. That loach won’t last very long either also you might be safe if it’s female but keep an eye on the rocks to make sure she don’t hurt herself on them somehow.
Agreed, only way to know for certain is to vent the fish once it's atleast 4in long. Also OP's is more then likely a standard ZZ red dragon. Hate it when shops just tac on some words to the name of a already established strain just to make an extra buck. Our SRD was sold as a female (bottom image) though looked more male when full grown. Venting is the only way to really know as females can develop large humps as well as males.
