Flowerhorns and clown loaches?

Yes loaches and or botias work great as FH tank mates, but as the guy above me said and he is right make sure they are large not babies

I have never had a cichlid bother a loach. I agree that you have to match them for size. If the cichlid can eat it, it will try.

yeah bro I agree loaches are great with cichlids I think they are much better suited than cat's even. Some cichlids get annoyed by cat's, loaches are very bold and I think this helps. The loach (clown or any other type) does not have to be huge just like ewurm said not small enough to be viewed as food. Plus you don't want your cichlid getting spiked when attempting to eat either
