Flowerhorns and Malaysian Trumpet Snails

My flowerhorn is about 11"-12",
I have a colony of MTS in the tank from my previous set up
Been seeing him digging up and eating them, just wondering if there will be any problems because they have harder shells than the average.

Hey, don't mean to revive such and old thread, but I've got the same issue.
My guy loves sucking them out the shell and has been doing it here and there. More so when the lights go out.
Should I start getting rid of the snails or is it alright?
