Flowerhorns are skittish and stressed

I recently introduced a female flowerhorn to my male and they are getting along great. This morning I woke up to them acting strange and skittish and hiding in the tank? They wont leave each others side as well. If I walk near the tank they go nuts. I did a water change and they are still acting weird? Any suggestions as to the cause of this behavior? All my levels are perfect. I maintain the temperature at 77-78 degrees. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The flowerhorns are about 4 inches in length and in a 90 gallon tank.

Can't speak on the skittish part but it seems your temps are low. Should be 80-84. How was the lone male before the female.

If everything is stable and water params are fine then it sounds like their just being fish! Are they showing any visible signs of illness or stress?

The male was fine. Very active. He is the exact opposite now. They seem to be stressed. Both of there colts have darkened.
