flowerhorn's "kok"

I recently got into flowerhorn, and I would like to know some things about the kok.

1. How do you tell whether it is a hard kok or water kok?
2. What is better for breeding? hard kok, or no kok?

It's basically just the way it sounds. Water KOKs seem to be more fragile when it comes to water parameters, but with a stable environment, it can get pretty large. Here's a sample of a water KOK.

Anyways, it all depends on your preference. Some don't like the water head cause it gets too big and some don't like the hard KOK cause it doesn't get too big. Just preference.

usually as far as being worth the most, water kok are the best.

It's all about personal preference.

But to answer your question, that female(in other thread) with big ugly hardkok is definitely worse(if not the worst) to breed with than a normal female with a normal hardkok(AKA no KOK).

I like a big fat juicy kok. The bigger the better. Doesn't have to be hard.


And I mean that in the most heterosexual way...
